Our organization origin was developed from the establishment of Hong Liang Foundry Engineering in 1980 by Mr. Ng Hong Liang, as a machinery making and steel servicing centre, apart from supporting cable bridge projects for Tenaga Nasional Berhad across Malaysia.
In 1990, the Company has diversified its business range in steel products epoxy service via Hong Liang Steel Products Sdn. Bhd. to meet the Malaysian's growing demand steel products.
Two years later in 1992, Tong Yong Metal Sdn. Bhd. was founded to further contribute to the Malaysian building and construction industry. Metal door and window frames from Tong Yong Metal Sdn. Bhd. had already established the market for quality steel building products, sold under the "UNI" brand. Since 1998, from the outset of its active involvement in the steel business, Tong Yong Metal Sdn. Bhd. has switched its focus to Research & Development of high quality steel base building materials and start applying for intellectual property recognition for its every invention.
